Hyper On Experience - Lords Of The Null Lines
The original and by far my favourite mix. I’ve probably posted this before but fuck it: it’s brilliant. It just came up on my random playlist in Winamp and reminded me of it’s genius. It was on the amazing Suburban Base and Moving Shadow album ‘The Joint’, which I got on vinyl back then and loved pretty much every track.
Another interesting thing about this track is that you can kinda hear the emphasis starting to be put more on the kick and snare as opposed to the crunchy break samples in between, which obviously led to the kick/snare type ‘DnB’ sound which to be honest, I don’t really like at all - I love the crunchiness and air of those old breakbeats.
In fact to me this was such a turning point and snapshot in time in hardcore/jungle/DnB evolution that I didn’t actually even bother getting ‘The Joint II’ when it came out, my friend’s had it, but I wasn’t too into it, to me it had already gone too sub-bass and sparse-beats type sound for my liking, definitely more THC than MDMA ;).

Artwork For My Track ‘Heaven On Earth (Come Up)’
Final artwork I made featuring Project RYT-01 ‘Raydam’. for the upcoming release of possibly my most old-skool hardcore track - Heaven On Earth (Come Up).
The track is to be released in the next few weeks on the futuristically hardcore label Quantum Progression Audio, which has released great tracks by the likes of Bright Lights, Schoco, Rich Tones and Sir Charge.

Proper mental stuff - also an indicator of how brilliant hardcore was just before the full on ‘split’ - pretty much every track on ‘The Joint’ is a classic… -
2 Bad Mice - Bombscare
Pure classic :)
International Rude Boyz - Drum Programme (Remix)
Pure darkside genius from Formation records. I love the ‘submariney’ delayed bleep sound, also another reason I loved this so much when I first got the 10” is because it has the same sample ‘The lord be with you’ and ‘In time, in time’ that The Hypnotist used on the utterly amazing ‘Pioneers Of The Warped Groove’.
