Misfits And Samhain Decks
Zorlac decks, while I never saw any of these in the flesh back then, I did see the Zorlac MetallicA deck which was very similarly shaped to the Misfits deck. My god just check the tri-tail on that thing, my first deck (Alva Eddie Reategui) had a similar tail, they WERE great for ollies, but they wore down really fast.
I’m almost sure the middle Samhain deck is pretty much the same shape as the Zorlac Dead Guys deck which I remember from back then - it had photos of lots of dead people as it’s graphics:
A possibly amusing anecdote about the Dead Guys deck is that back then I was at a skate comp, and there was this really vert quarterpipe at one end. As I approached it, I noticed a guy had just dropped-in straight in front of me - I bailed and slid on my knees up the pipe a bit - he then also bailed and his deck rolled straight into my knee, the corner of it’s angular nose smashing straight into my kneecap, it was a Dead Guys deck and I still have a mark on my left knee from it to this day…
